This year’s game:

Two alliances consisting of three teams compete against each other by scoring Fuel into their Active Hub, climbing Towers, and having Human Players contribute by tossing Fuel.
At the start of each match, robots line up on opposite sides of the field and may be pre-loaded with up to eight Fuel. During the first twenty seconds (Auto), robots score points by launching or placing Fuel into their alliance’s Active Hub and climbing the Tower (Level 1). Additional Fuel can be collected from the Depot or received from Human Players stationed in the Outpost. Human Players may also throw Fuel into the Hub, with each successful score earning them one point. After scoring, Fuel is released back to the Neutral Zone, where robots can drive under the Bump or over the Trenches to retrieve and cycle it again.
Throughout the match (Teleop), the Hubs alternate between Active and Inactive periods. During the first ten seconds (Transition Shift), both Hubs are Active and the scoring Fuel earns one point each. For the next twenty five seconds (Alliance Shift one), the alliance that scored the most Fuel during Auto will have an Inactive Hub, while the opposing alliance’s Hub remains Active. In Alliance Shift two, the Hub status switches, and this alternating cycle continues through Alliance Shift three and four. In the final thirty seconds of the match (End Game), both Hubs will be Active again. Alliances that reach the Energized threshold earn a Ranking Point, and reaching the Supercharged threshold earns an additional Ranking Point. In addition to scoring Fuel, robots can earn points by climbing their Tower, with Level 1 worth 10 points, Level 2 worth 20 points, and Level 3 worth 30 points. An additional Traversal Ranking Point can be earned by alliances that achieve enough total Tower points. The winner of the match is determined by the alliance with the highest total score.
