2011 Season

Our 2011 Jr. FIRST Lego League teams, Mini Millies, Micro Millies and Nano Millies have had an amazing season this year. This year Jr. FLL participants were presented with a “Snack Attack” challenge, that allowed them to learn about food safety.

Throughout their season, the girls learned about how to prepare food safely to keep people healthy and created simple LEGO models that would aid in this process. Towards the end of the season, teams created  Show-Me presentation posters that summarized their new “Snack Attack” knowledge. In addition, all three teams had the opportunity to practice their presentation skills at our Jr. FLL celebration. At this event the Jr. FLL students were able to show off their models and Show-Me posters to their SWAT 771 mentors as well as members from our FLL teams.

As SWAT 771 student mentors we couldn’t be happier to see our school’s youngest students to be so eager to explore science, technology and engineering.
